The Herzfeldhaus was built in 1869 as a residential building on the site of the former Vienna city wall. As a building of the classical Viennese Gründerzeit, the building has been forgotten in the past few years and has become a kind of "lost place" in the city center. After 3 years of intensive work by the HMA Architecture and Interior Design Team, the Herzfeldhaus has been awakened from its slumber by a sensitive renovation and a modern roof extension.

The Herzfeldhaus unites 16 apartments of different sizes, which can be accessed via the newly built glass panorama elevator or the elegant staircase. The building extends over 7 floors, including a private wine cellar in the historic vaults of the basement, two roof terraces with panoramic views of the entire city and a pool, which further enhances the noble impression of the penthouse terrace with its stainless steel finish.

The cultural heritage of Vienna serves as the basis for the design concept. Architecture and interior design are influenced by the art of Egon Schiele, the formal language of Adolf Loos and the design of the Wiener Werkstätte. During the careful renovation, the respectful treatment of the historical old stock was the focus of interest.

The Herzfeldhaus offers a modern version of the characteristic Viennese Wilhelminian style with all contemporary amenities.

In addition, the building has received several awards for its thoughtful approach to its architectural history and design, including the Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2020 and the Iconic Awards 2020.
